My 15 year journey to find passion

Today I was asked about how I first go involved with network marketing....it's a pretty long story, but I tried to summarize it and now that I have it all typed out I thought I'd share it here too... After college (15 years ago), I signed up as a distributor for a make up company. I bought the large inventory kit and maybe broke even. It was an incredible introduction to MLM but the set up just w asn't the right fit for me. Having multiple weekly parties is encouraged and even before having kids, I just didn't have time or the desire to have so many events while also working full-time. I Iove the products and actually still purchase them at a discount. . When I got married, I signed up with kitchenware company because I wanted the discount and starter kit. I thought all those gadgets and fun recipes would get me cooking more...but I was wrong. Again I just didn't have the passion for those products and couldn't force myself into it. Plus again the set up was

Take a Bet on Yourself and Try Something New

Do you see it? We are all nervous in this picture!! Arms are crossed, there are no TRUE smiles, even mine is only a half smile because I was scared. I didn't know anyone and I didn't know what to expect.  I was second guessing myself and although I knew it was something I wanted to do, I didn't know how I was going to do it and still don't. But you know what, those feelings are TOTALLY normal and felt by everyone in the room. And you may feel something similar yourself.  Be honest, if I sent you a personal message right now asking you to try a cardio dance fitness workout program for the next 30 days...how would you feel? Do you have confidence that you could start and finish the 30 days?  Could you even open the box and turn on the TV to push play to the 1st DVD?  We all have confidence in ourselves but can benefit from having more.  Confidence improves our relationships, parenting and how we behave in social settings.  It helps us believe that Y

PUSH Day 2 | Laying a Foundation with Goals

Are you ready to take time to lay a foundation so you no longer struggle…whether it’s with your weight, nutrition, relationships, finances, work or whatever??  You’ll experience less stress, aches and pains and sleepless nights, plus you won’t worry or be as anxious if you have a strong foundation.   This is why we take the time at the beginning of challenge groups I ask everyone to think about who they are, what they value and set goals.  We also think about your strengths and weaknesses so that you can build a strong foundation for your house, marriage and/or successful balanced life!! Most people want a quick fix…they try and try and try, but just wing it.  They aren’t willing to slow down and build a solid foundation.  Balance is only possible when you know how the scales should be set for you.  Happiness is knowing you are doing the right things for yourself and the right people. Did you make a decision that things WILL be different?  Are you ready for change….n

30 Day PUSH starts with a FIRM Foundation

Yesterday, I started a new fitness accountability group with about 40 friends and friends of friends.  I also started a New Coach Basics training for individuals interested in growing their own health and fitness focused business.  In both groups we are committing to reading and digesting the book "PUSH" by fitness trainer, Chalene Johnson.   Each day, I am creating a post for the group and have decided to also share it here on my blog and through posts on my facebook page, Motivation Shaker Ashley Tabb .  If you are interested in joining in, you can download PUSH from iBooks or your local library? Or order the book from Amazon or Barnes and Noble? In addition to the book, be sure to go to  http://www.chalenejohnson.com/30daypush  to receive daily emails and videos that supplement the book and these posts. The introduction of the book focuses on habits as the key to success. It states, successful people adopt the laws of success and create lifelong habits that they do

Trust and Believe | Recap & Reflections from Summit 2016

Last week Trainer Shaun T talked at the Team Beachbody Summit Leadership Conference in Nashville Tennessee about trust and belief and here are my notes and additional comments inspired from his presentation: Close your eyes and think and listen to what was said to you 20-30 years ago.... What was it that you are not convinced about?  What do you need to understand? The best way to improve yourself is to not lie to yourself, but to find the truth. Do you believe what's happening? Do you believe you can reach the goals you set for yourself? What's stopping you? Connect with the thing that scares you the most. Begin to walk backwards and think about where you'd have to stop in your past because you become so fearful you can't move back anymore. You have to have belief that the entire time you are walking backwards, especially when you can't see what's there, that you believe and trust in yourself.  Connect with that thing that scares you the most.  Beg
