Caroline has learned so much from The Centenary School and will continue there for another year!
We went back and forth about sending her to Kindergarten (K) or having her complete Transitional Kindergarten (TK) which will give her another year to mature and make her one of the oldest in her class. She turns 5 in June and the cut off date for starting K is August 1.
We decided TK will be best for her...and while she's sad she has to wait another year to ride the bus and go to school with her sister...she's pretty excited about returning to a school she loves and is already familiar with!! She loves chapel, art class, PE, Spanish, music and library!! Plus several of her friends will be in TK with her!!
Several preschools, churches and even businesses in the area offer TK programs. Courtney attended Lexington Christian Academy for TK. We had an amazing experience there and loved her teacher. However, we chose Centenary for Caroline because she's familiar with it, the program is adequate and the hours work well with my schedule.
Today is the first day to register for kindergarten in Fayette County. Here is the link for more information.
Each child is different and circumstances are different but for us and Caroline, we feel TK is the best choice!!!
