Spread Positive Vibes

One of the things that holds people back from going after what they want is fear of the unknown and fear of judgement.  I’m often asked, "Do you care what other people think of your posts?" or "Do you worry people will be offended when you invite them to your groups?" Well yeah....I want people to find my posts interesting, motivating, valuable and cute (especially the ones of my family).   And I want people to know they are welcome to gain support and accountability from others working towards similar goals. We live in a society where people try to tear us down.  Last night I watched ESPN’s 30 for 30 highlighting Coach John Calipari’s career and these words jumped out….”People don’t like you when you beat them or have success.  They only pat you on the back when THEY win.” It’s sad but true.  So many times we put others down for doing a great job rather than celebrating their success with them.  Instead we should lift people up rather than always co

How Coaching Creates BIG Smiles and More!

Caroline was bouncing up and down when I picked her up from daycare today!! She was full of excitement for gymnastics picture day. Yes it’s been hectic getting her to class each week…leaving work early and having to pull out my computer when she’s in class to finish newsletters, but it’s what I love to do! I enjoy working so we can afford what we need and also have the extras!! Of course dance, gymnastics, swim lessons, and shopping isn’t getting cheaper so having some extra income is helpful. I never expected that extra income would come from sharing my fitness journey. However, 3 years ago after starting home workouts and posting daily to stay accountable, I had friends ask me to help them get started. So I created support groups and shared my experiences and what I have learned throughout my journey. I’ve created a part-time business that allows me to be home at night to tuck the girls into bed, do chores and even watch TV with Matt. No more hosting multiple weekly parti

Spring into Health...Meltdown to Memorial Day Challenge

As I see everyone post spring break pics, I thought back to our Disney Spring Break 3 years ago and pulled up those pictures only to notice… I can’t find one picture where I’m not hiding behind the girls. The thing is I LOVE pictures and NOW on vacation or even out to dinner I take LOTS of pictures!! So what changed over the last 3 years? How did I get back the EXCITEMENT and PRIDE of having my picture taken instead of having FEAR and ANXIETY?!?! I found it's not just about how to LOSE the weight, KEEP it off, AND create HEALTHY HABITS, but also about surrounding yourself with SUPPORT and feeding yourself with POSITIVE thoughts and affirmations!! And NOW it’s YOUR turn! You may be coming home from Spring Break or already into the Easter candy and wondering, "how can I get results?" 8 weeks may seem like enough time to wait until later or not enough time to even try….but actually this is the PERFECT time to move toward your Health and Fitness goals….one s

Shake it Up Day 1...Snickerdoodle

After posting several Shakeology recipes last night, I decided to shake it up before the online event actually starts to share my thoughts on the different recipes to help you decide which to try!! Today I started with Snickerdoodle, but I made a few changes.  We are low on milk and I prefer to have water to save my "containers" for other food throughout the day on my meal plan.  So I used 12-14 oz of water instead of 10-12 oz of milk. For the peanut butter, I used PB2 which is a powder peanut butter. Also, I prefer 1/2 banana in all of my shakes, so I added that in as well. The shake was good, but I wasn't sure how much peanut butter to use since it was powder and I think I used a little too much.  Sometimes it takes a few tries with these recipes to get your personal preference of flavor, but overall this recipe is a winner and I'll have it again!! Snickerdoodle (original recipe) 1 serving Vanilla Shakeology 10-12oz milk 2tsp cinnamon 1tsp natural p

Shake it Up Shakeology Shake Recipes

After months of drinking the same Cafe Latte shake, I've decided to shake it up!! I tend to find something I love and have it routinely.  However, I've had several people ask me for recipes and even to host a Sip and Share.  Unfortunately with spring break, Easter, and my trip with Beachbody to the Dominican Republic, I can't find a time for a Sip & Share at my house.   So, I'm co-hosting a virtual Sip and Share!! I'm sharing a variety of recipes that look yummy!! I'll be going LIVE throughout the next week with my shake and providing thoughts and feedback about the ones I try! It'll be even more fun to have you try some of the recipes and let me know what you think!! If you are willing to be a taste tester and try one of these recipes each day, send me an email to atabb01@gmail.com or direct me on Facebook.  Which ones do you want to try?!?  I'm most excited about Apple Pie and Blueberry Muffin!! Oh and don't worry...I left off Cafe Lat
