Spread Positive Vibes

One of the things that holds people back from going after what they want is fear of the unknown and fear of judgement.  I’m often asked, "Do you care what other people think of your posts?" or "Do you worry people will be offended when you invite them to your groups?"

Well yeah....I want people to find my posts interesting, motivating, valuable and cute (especially the ones of my family).   And I want people to know they are welcome to gain support and accountability from others working towards similar goals.

We live in a society where people try to tear us down.  Last night I watched ESPN’s 30 for 30 highlighting Coach John Calipari’s career and these words jumped out….”People don’t like you when you beat them or have success.  They only pat you on the back when THEY win.”

It’s sad but true.  So many times we put others down for doing a great job rather than celebrating their success with them.  Instead we should lift people up rather than always compete and knock them down.

So I want people to look at my page and gain inspiration, motivation and positive vibes. To many newsfeeds are filled with content creating self doubt, lowering self esteem or spreading hate.

As a motivation coach, I encourage others to push a
little harder and “refuse to lose!” Like Coach Cal...Have your own “swagger” and don’t be intimidated by others. Failure isn’t an option.

I choose to focus less on the opinions of others and more on my actions.   You have to work hard, but you don’t have be alone...find a group of positive people and/or a mentor that will support you on your journey. And then consider mentoring others by sharing your experiences and how they can succeed too!!

Here's a message I got a few days ago from a challengers excited for our challenge group and what she's experienced so far in her journey...

Be the person who says "I'm glad I took a chance" rather than "I wish I did."

Email me or send me a private message on Facebook for a spot in my next Challenge Group or Coach Mentorship and start your journey to being healthier and happier and spread positive vibes!!

Birds of Paradise - Chicken Recipe

Growing up, we ate a lot chicken. Chicken and rice. Chicken and salsa. Chicken casserole. I wasn't sure why we ate so much chicken. I thought it was just because my mom was on a Weight Watchers diet.  She would put the chicken in the oven and then go on a walk.  I always wanted to tag along on my bike. Now I understand. Chicken is quick and easy. Chicken is inexpensive. Chicken can be healthy. Now as a mom I also understand, my mom wanted to on on those walks alone...to have some peace and quiet time!
