You've got to try this!!

You've got to try this!!

It's ok if you don't know much or anything about boxing.  Neither do I. I did complete Core de Force, a martial arts inspired program and kickboxing workouts. However, I know nothing about boxing and yet I've already finished the first two weeks of 10 Rounds and while it wasn't perfect, I would say "I nailed it."

What is 10 Rounds™?

10 Rounds is a boxing program that helps torch fat, melt inches off your waistline, and get lean & mean in just 6 weeks.

Super Trainer Joel Freeman leads powerful punching combinations and fast footwork that will result
in shocking results.

10 Rounds is built around simple, precise, and effective training principles that emphasize technique, repetition, and intensity to maximize your cardio burn and provide an incredible total body workout.

Each week, includes 3 days of boxing training and 2 days of weight lifting workouts that will get you sweaty, shredded, and cut.

What makes it unique?

With 10 Rounds, every single jab, hook, cross, and uppercut has a reason—to burn serious calories and get you shredded and lean. You’ll put your total focus into every punch, one after another, staying light on your feet and bringing your maximum intensity. Check it out in this preview video.

You won’t be hitting a punching bag or sparring partner—this is zero-impact boxing that starts at your feet, intensifies as you activate your core, and explodes through your fists, giving you a deep muscle burn that will help get your body cut and ripped.

The boxing focuses on building three key skills to accelerate your fat loss and get you fighting fit: power, speed, and endurance. Each boxing workout is broken into 10 three-minute rounds and features music that will drive your rhythm and give you the energy to pack power into every punch.

The two 30-minute lifting workouts per week—one for upper body, one for lower body—focus on building strength and lean muscle. You’ll strengthen your core, every workout. Joel will help you sculpt your body with moves that will tighten your midsection, burn calories, and reveal those abs.

To build an exciting home-fitness experience, 10 Rounds was shot in 6 cities across the United States so that each week of the program features workouts from a new destination, in iconic local venues.

Who is Joel Freeman?

Super Trainer Joel Freeman is the creator of 10 Rounds and LIIFT4®, and the co-creator of CORE DE FORCE®. Working over 15 years in the health and fitness industry, he is currently a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer and Behavior Change Specialist.

Joel is no stranger to fitness, having worked in every capacity within the fitness industry. From running day-to-day gym operations in Olympia, Washington, to becoming a national trainer and directing Group X programming for the world-famous Gold’s Gym Los Angeles franchise—he’s done it all.

What will 10 Rounds teach me?

During the three boxing days, you will learn how to use power, speed and endurance to rock your workouts. These will be combined with conditioning drills that help build:

1. Power by using body weight to increase lean muscle mass.
2. Speed/agility with fast footwork that will push you into high-intensity spikes of fat burning.
3. Endurance to boost performance so you can burn more calories faster.  There will also be some "all-out burnout drills" where you'll punch as fast as you can, so you're completely spend at the end of the round.

The other two days are weight lifting workouts.  One day is upper body focused on building strength and power and the other is lower body and legs.

Shakeology No Bake Cookies

Over the weekend, I made Shakeology No Bake Cookies (or balls). I prefer to make these as balls rather than flattening them as cookies.  I've made them with both Chocolate and Vanilla Shakeology and both are good.  Using the Vanilla Shakeology actually creates Peanut Butter Balls...you don't really notice the vanilla...it just mixes in.  My girls and husband prefer the Peanut Butter Balls, but when I am craving chocolate...this is a great option!  The girls love helping with this recipe and it's super easy! Ingredients:  1 cup Chocolate or Vanilla Shakeology 1 cup all-natural peanut butter 1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats 1/2 cup raw honey How to Make:  Combine ingredients into a medium bowl, mix well with rubber spatula or by hand. Roll mixture into balls about 1 inch in size. Put into container. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours. Enjoy cold. Home Workouts brought my Pre-Baby Body & Confidence Back

After having my two girls, I struggled with getting to the gym as its daycare hours didn’t work around my schedule.  The best day for me was Saturday morning and thenI had to gather my iPad, earbuds, towel, diapers, wipes and two girls.  By the time we were buckled into the car, 30 minutes later, someone had to go to the bathroom.  Then once we got to the gym, I did an hour of cardio while watching Mad Men and walked around the equipment trying to recall sessions with a personal trainer years ago.  Then a week later, we did it all over again and during the week, I walked outside a few nights a week.  My eating habits were somewhat healthy, but I finished my daughter’s mac and cheese and nibbled on her pretzels and goldfish during snack time. As a result, I didn't lose weight, I was tired and I was somewhat depressed as I missed the time and luxury of going to the gym before they were born. Then a friend posted her results from 21 Day Fix and I asked he...

Almond Joy candy vs. wonder whip

As Halloween approaches, candy options are more and more tempting.  Ok, maybe candy is tempting all year around!!  You want to think those little pieces of chocolate won't affect your weight goals, but they can.  Especially when it's hard to just eat one or two.  Personally, I would much rather have several bites of dessert than just one, so these wonder whip solutions are an amazing alternative to a few pieces of candy!! They are much more filling and satisfying!!  Whip up a bowl today and give your sweet tooth what it wants!!   Thanks to Ilana Muhlstein for sharing this recipe and her registered dietitian knowledge through the 2B Mindset Nutrition program and certified mentorship training!  B oth the Almond Joy candy and wonder whip have 235 calories, but you get a WHOLE cup with the whip rather than just two bites!!  Ingredients:  1 Cup 0-2% Plain Greek Yogurt 1 TBSP unsweetened Shredded Coconut 1 ...
