Birds of Paradise

This is a great summer recipe and was enjoyed by our entire family...including my 8 year old and 3 year old daughters!!  It's a recipe adjusted slightly from the cookbook, A Man, A Can and A Grill.  I gave my husband this cookbook 12 years ago when we were dating and we still use it regularly!! Ingredients: 6 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves 15 oz can mandarin oranges in light syrup, drained 14 oz can diced tomatoes Italian style 8 oz can pineapple chunks in juice, drained 8 oz can Italian-style tomato sauce 1 tsp chili powder 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper How to Make it: Mix the tomato sauce and chili powder in a big zip lock bag.  Drop in the chicken. Seal the bag and refrigerate for a few hours or overnight.  In a big bowl, mix the oranges, tomatoes, pineapple and pepper.  Let it sit for 30 minutes.  Fire up your grill to medium.  Once grill is ready, debag the chicken and grill, turning and basting with marinade a few times for about 10 minutes or until

12 Ways to Spring Clean Your Lifestyle

Cleaning up your eating habits, exercise and home can be difficult but here are some tips to make it easier. 1. Set small goals: write down everything you want to work on and then pick the top 3 to start with. 2. Set a schedule and be realistic: determine how much time you have each day to work on your goal.  Be realistic and don't overwhelm yourself.  Starting with 10-20 minutes of exercise in the morning and 10-20 minutes of organizing at night is a great start! 3. Team up: Whether with a success partner or an accountability group, you are more likely to stick to your daily tasks and goals when you have someone to check in with.  It's best to find someone with similar goals that will be tackling daily tasks around the same time of day. 4. Change your thinking: Instead of determining goals purely based on weight lose and completion, focus on how you feel and your progress.  Start with tasks you dread the least and find a program with a trainer you enjoy.  5
