See the value in what you have

Value yourself with positive affirmations in 2018.  Wake up each morning and read your affirmations aloud so you truly believe them. Here is part of my affirmation that I say daily... I am a confident woman. I live in the present and am confident of the future. I am energetic and enthusiastic. I appreciate everything I have. I am focused and persistent. I am in charge of my life. I am committed to my goals. I share opportunities I am aware of with others daily. I share my experiences daily. Saying these things aloud help me to feel them and do the actions each day.  By saying them it helps you to know and own the value of your skills. I love this video from LinkedIn. What did you want to be when you were growing up?  What did your parents tell you?  If you are good at something, dedicate extra time to do it.  The love and patience you put into these extra things will bring personal adbundance and potientally an extra cash flow. Lastly, t...

It's not about being perfect, it's about progress and moving forward

My journey began almost four years ago as I sat the pool tired, frustrated and yes, a little jealous.  As I looked around at the other moms I was envious of how great they looked in their bikinis, even after having kids.  Although, I lost most of my weight from having my girls, I still had 10-15 pounds I wanted to lose. Most of all I wanted my hips and waist to slim down because none of my dress pants fit comfortably.   I thought my problem was not getting to the gym.  I was only going once or twice a week for 30-45 minutes.  While there I would walk and run on the treadmill or elliptical machine.  Although I had worked at the gym throughout college, I never had a solid workout schedule with weights and the machines and honestly they still intimidate me.  So I would walk around looking at them, maybe try a few machines and then feel like everyone was watching wondering what I was doing, so I'd get the girls from the daycare and head home....

Egg Casserole

Several people asked for the egg casserole recipes that I made for my pre-workout meal this week. As I started timed nutrition I needed a veggie, protein, starch and teaspoon to meet all the container requirements. The egg casserole is a light dish that contains all of those. Ingredients: Veggie: 1 chopped green bell pepper and 1 red bell pepper Protein: 10 eggs Starch: 4 yellow containers of Sliced potatoes/hash browns Teaspoon: Olive oil or cooking spray Directions: Preheat oven to 375 degree. Crack and mix 10 eggs. Add chopped peppers and potatoes and stir. Spray or spread olive oil around a glass casserole dish. Pour in mixture. Cook for 20-30 minutes. Let cool and then cut into 6 pieces.
I am SOOOO excited It’s time to start a new challenge and it is going to be INTENSE!! After four prep rounds of A Little Obsessed, it's time to start a new chapter in my fitness journey with 80 Day Obsession.  This program features high intensity, low impact workouts that last 40-60 minutes and are done 6 days a week.  Even more important than the daily workouts is the timed nutrition plan that comes with the program.  The meal plan lays out specific foods that should be eaten at certain times of the day based on each person’s start weight and their goal to either maintain and tone or lose weight. I’ve always loved working out and trying new challenges but I preferred to have them written out for me rather than trying to determine on my own what I should do.  Heck two years ago after do the same program over and over for months I still didn’t know what moves to do on vacation without watching my videos. The wifi wasn’t consistent one day so I tried to remem...

Crock Post Instant: Hawaiian BBQ Chicken

This afternoon it hit me like a ton of bricks...we didn't pull out chicken to thaw for dinner.  I was anxious but only for a second as I quickly realized it wasn't a big deal after all!! I received a Crock Pot Instant for Christmas, so I googled chicken recipes and found a good looking one for Hawaiian BBQ Chicken. There are only four ingredients and I already had them in the pantry. 14 oz can diced pineapple ¼ tsp. Salt ¾ c. your favorite BBQ sauce  2 lb chicken breasts (frozen) I placed the chicken breast into the pan, poured the pineapple with juice and then added the BBQ sauce.  Honestly I forgot to put in the salt but I will add it next time.  I press START and then POULTRY and set the timer for 20 minutes since the chicken was frozen.  The pot showed HEAT as it was heating and this typically takes 10 minutes.  With dinner cooking, I took Courtney's friend home and picked up Caroline from her friends house.   When we go...

Fill your cup wisely in 2018

Have you ever given up on a diet because you weren't seeing the results you wanted and then wish you had kept going? Have you ever bought a gym membership, treadmill or home workout program but quit because you didn't think you had time or got sore after the first few workout? Have you ever committed to read a book but stopped because you lost interest. Have you ever given up on a job or project because it got "too hard?" Most of us will answer yes to at least one of these questions and as a result most of us have missed out on a blessing that comes with staying on course. I've come see the value in staying committed and lean on God, family and friends especially when things are hard or results seem slow or other life roadblocks try to derail me. Not only have I built stamina to overcome obstacles but I have learned to ask for help from others. Your life is a jar...empty and ready to fill. How will you fill it in 2018?!? Check out this video and learn how to fi...
