Be Extordinary...Choose to Learn, Grow & Be Better Everyday

This month I kicked off a Miracle Morning support group.  It's an accountability group in a private Facebook group of women that have been part of my fitness challenge groups for at least a few months. These women have committed to their health and fitness and want to become better everyday!

We each picked a workout program and are committed to starting and finishing it...even through the holidays.  I chose the new Beachbody workout program Core de Force.  I will start Day 1 of the program on Monday...so this week I have been previewing Core de Force, but also doing some of my favorites in 21 Day Fix and Country Heat!! I'm excited about the new program...so far I can tell it's going to be tough, but that's exactly what I need during this holiday season...and in order to learn, grow and be better everyday.

I could have done 21 Day Fix again...which I started 2 years ago, but my results would be limited.  I already know the program and my body has already done the moves and workouts several times.  I've already learned and grown from it.   I lost 10 pounds from July 2014-Sept 2014 doing 21 Day Fix but even then I realized I had to switch it up in January 2015 to challenge myself to be better everyday!

Working out and eating healthy daily are great.  However, if you do what you've always done and don't experience new things, your body will plateau.  You've got to change it up...even if that means doing something you aren't familiar with or comfortable doing.

If it's been a while or if you've never been on a health and fitness journey, this is a great time to restart or start!! Rather than waking up each day and staying the same...make a commitment to try something new!!

In addition to the workouts, the members of the Miracle Morning group are listening to self-improvement books including "The Miracle Morning." There are so many great thoughts and ideas in this book.  Although most are things I am just hearing again, the ideas are presented in a way that sparks a light in me and gets me excited to implement journaling, affirmations and visualization to become better everyday!

Here are some of the thoughts and my reflection from listening to the book today:
If we don't change now, our life won't ever change.
If we don't get better, our life won't get better.
If we don't consistently invest time in personal development, our life will not improve.
Most people wake up each day and stay the same.

Do you want more in your life?
I know I do!!

Be honest with yourself.
What kind of life do you want to live?
You don't have to be rich or famous...everyone's dream is different.
Think about what it would mean to live your definition of a FABULOUS life!!

No excuses.
No regrets.
Just a meaningful life.

Rather than looking back and regretting what you could have been and/or done more of, start DOING today!

Claim your greatness and become the person you want to be!
Have a life full of energy, love, success and everything you want!

Think about "Why you got up today" and "Why you will get up each day going forward."

What can you do to be better everyday?!?!

I'm hosting a Mission Maintain group in December and then another Miracle Morning group in January. If you are interested in getting started to become better everyday, message me or complete the application below for more info about these groups!!

Shakeology No Bake Cookies

Over the weekend, I made Shakeology No Bake Cookies (or balls). I prefer to make these as balls rather than flattening them as cookies.  I've made them with both Chocolate and Vanilla Shakeology and both are good.  Using the Vanilla Shakeology actually creates Peanut Butter Balls...you don't really notice the vanilla...it just mixes in.  My girls and husband prefer the Peanut Butter Balls, but when I am craving chocolate...this is a great option!  The girls love helping with this recipe and it's super easy! Ingredients:  1 cup Chocolate or Vanilla Shakeology 1 cup all-natural peanut butter 1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats 1/2 cup raw honey How to Make:  Combine ingredients into a medium bowl, mix well with rubber spatula or by hand. Roll mixture into balls about 1 inch in size. Put into container. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours. Enjoy cold. Home Workouts brought my Pre-Baby Body & Confidence Back

After having my two girls, I struggled with getting to the gym as its daycare hours didn’t work around my schedule.  The best day for me was Saturday morning and thenI had to gather my iPad, earbuds, towel, diapers, wipes and two girls.  By the time we were buckled into the car, 30 minutes later, someone had to go to the bathroom.  Then once we got to the gym, I did an hour of cardio while watching Mad Men and walked around the equipment trying to recall sessions with a personal trainer years ago.  Then a week later, we did it all over again and during the week, I walked outside a few nights a week.  My eating habits were somewhat healthy, but I finished my daughter’s mac and cheese and nibbled on her pretzels and goldfish during snack time. As a result, I didn't lose weight, I was tired and I was somewhat depressed as I missed the time and luxury of going to the gym before they were born. Then a friend posted her results from 21 Day Fix and I asked her a few questions th

Almond Joy candy vs. wonder whip

As Halloween approaches, candy options are more and more tempting.  Ok, maybe candy is tempting all year around!!  You want to think those little pieces of chocolate won't affect your weight goals, but they can.  Especially when it's hard to just eat one or two.  Personally, I would much rather have several bites of dessert than just one, so these wonder whip solutions are an amazing alternative to a few pieces of candy!! They are much more filling and satisfying!!  Whip up a bowl today and give your sweet tooth what it wants!!   Thanks to Ilana Muhlstein for sharing this recipe and her registered dietitian knowledge through the 2B Mindset Nutrition program and certified mentorship training!  B oth the Almond Joy candy and wonder whip have 235 calories, but you get a WHOLE cup with the whip rather than just two bites!!  Ingredients:  1 Cup 0-2% Plain Greek Yogurt 1 TBSP unsweetened Shredded Coconut 1 TBSP Cocoa Nibs 2 tsp. cocoa powder
