Driven, Motivated, Independent Go-Getters Wanted

Do you spend so much time and energy on your kids and/or others that you feel you have “lost yourself?”  Would support from othes, a program to learn to be healthier and the opportunity to make extra money be of interest to you? Before I had my two precious princesses I went to the gym whenever I wanted, took fitness classes at various times of the day and could wait until the last minute to plan a decent dinner and not have anyone nagging that they were hungry.  Then I had my first daughter and boy did things change?!?!  Not only did I gain weight with both pregnancies, but I couldn’t get to the gym, had little time to plan meals and had a hard time cooking while taking care of the girls.  After having my second daughter, I was up 2 clothing sizes, my hips had stretched out and I was depressed and exhausted. Then I saw a post about 21 Day Fix and Shakeology, so I tried it. Within 6 months, I lost 20 pounds and 4 clothing sizes from waking up early each morning and com

Tips to Waking up & Working out Earlier

My alarm sounds every morning at 5:05. Even though I definitely fall under the “morning person” category, I still find waking up and getting out of bed to be a bit of a challenge. I typically hit snooze once, rather than four times so I have time for my 30 minute workout and have an amazing start to my day!! Feeling well-rested is key to my workout performance especially so early in the morning,  I have water next to my bed and drink it as I head downstairs and typically have to have a refill in the middle of my workout.   By the end of the workout I feel accomplished and a positive tone is set for the rest of  the day . Setting the alarm a little earlier means that I can peacefully workout, listen to a podcast, post about my workout and get ready for the little ones wake up. Having the routine and sticking too it may be crazy, but it helps me to rush less and limit stress!  I think it's easier to get up and jump right up....like ripping off a bandage...rather than laying there

Don't Worry....Be Happy!!!

Personally my biggest struggle is worrying over pointless things!! Whether it's Caroline falling down or Courtney forgetting her "donut bun" for dance. I seem to worry, worry, worry....about "nothing." It's not something I want to do and I REALLY want to improve.  It seems like I take my guard down for a day or two and then something happens and I am back to worrying even more!! I know if I would worry less, I would be happier, so I am going to use these suggestions to worry less... 1. Communicate rather than guess...I tend to worry about what someone else is thinking rather than just asking them.  So I will ask more questions and listen more. 2. Work out...I've already been doing this, but I will continue to workout...including free weight lifting, cardio and yoga.  The combination seems to make me feel so much better!! Some days I need lifting to help me focus and other days yoga clears my mind. 3. Be in the present moment....I know I kn

How to Get Hammer and Chisel & Join the 1st Test Group

Next week...on December 1st  the NEWEST fitness program, Hammer and Chisel, will launch and I am BEYOND excited!!!!  I have waiting to spice up my strength training since this was announced at Beachbody Summit in July.  I LOVE Autumn Calabrese's 21 Day Fix and 21 Day Fix Extreme and from the sneak peak I can tell I'm going to love this new workout too!!  I met Body Beast's  Sagi Kalev  over the summer and he was so FUN!  Both trainers will challenge your body, improved your strength, flexibility, tone and endurance.  Plus, Autumn's portion controlled container system has been a serious game changer for me and for my customers in their success with mastering healthy eating and the nutrition plan!   So naturally when a NEW program with both trainers was announced, I was ALL OVER IT!!!!  I will be at my computer on launch day {December 1st} to be one of the first to grab a copy of this program!!!!  I have already had the opportunity to do 2 of the workouts on Beac

Holiday Survival Group

Did it happen to you? Did you put on your pants or a dress today and it was tighter than the last time? So many people gain weight this time of year due to 3 holidays just weeks apart and so many parties and events. Plus the temptation for unhealthy foods are everywhere!! For example, my husband and I went to an event on Saturday and there was a fabulous buffet spread! I saw people pile food on their plate and accept the giant size of vanilla/chocolate cake. I enjoyed the meal, but made sure to limit my portion of mashed potatoes and shared a piece of cake with Matt…thank you Matt for not letting me get my own piece of cake…the waiter asked if we each wanted a piece…I said yes and he said no…He was right…we didn’t BOTH need a piece…having a few bites of one piece was enough!! Then after eating we hit the dance floor and burned off several calories  smile emotico n What about you…do you need help with portion control and eating healthier? Do

A Few of Her Favorite Things

Only a few weeks from Black Friday and I am starting to think about Christmas gifts.  My girls haven't started their lists yet, but I know it won't be soon.  I was sitting here thinking about what they like and about goggling similar products or category of products to gather ideas.   Here are a few of my 8 year old's favorite things... CRAFTS:  There aren't many crafts she doesn't like.  She loves to make bracelets, necklaces, potholders and so much more.  I've seen pottery making kits that I think she might be old enough for now...and I I could see her possibly adding an Easy Bake Oven to her list. GAMES: Last weekend we taught Courtney to play RackO and she was instantly hooked!!   A great way to practice her numbers and teaching her about strategy. Courtney got Simon for her birthday a few months ago.   She loves the touch screen and memory challenge!! BOOKS: Books have always been at the top of Courtney's wishli

30 Days of Gratitude

This is your invitation…will you accept it? So it’s been a busy month and this is a crazy, busy week…especially in Lexington, KY!! We have a UK basketball scrimmage to watch tonight…yes another practice to watch on TV!!  Then there are Breeder’s Cup activities all week, a UK football game Saturday night and oh yeah…it’s Halloween week!!  So there are several school and activities around Halloween and the actual treat or tricking Saturday night!!  It’s a whirlwind keeping everything straight…getting everyone where they need to be and keeping up with daily responsibilities.  But in the mist of it all I want to be a good example for my girls and so I try to show them how to organize things, eat healthy and keep my exercise consistent.  And I feel I have handle on those things, but sometimes…ok most of the time, I fail to communicate my appreciation for all that I have! Don't Forget To Enjoy Your Blessings Today I just started 21 Day F

Encourage. Motivate. Inspire. Reasons to Become a Team Beachbody Coach.

Have you ever said to yourself… "I need a new challenge" or "I need more income for the kids’ activities" or "I wish I could make a difference?" Do you want to give yourself a pay raise? Do you want plan a dream vacation? Do you want to feel amazing for helping others achieve their goals? I know I know, it sounds too good to be true, right?!?!? Well, I won't lie, I work hard, but the hard work is worth it! I set my own pace, I set my own goals and then I ran my own race! If I want to work harder I work harder, if I need a break, I take a break! But in the end the best feeling in the world is knowing that my success is a direct reflection of my daily activities and consistency! And this is the thing...coaching does not feel like “work”.   I love encouraging. I love motivating. I love being inspired by others.   I love being part of something positive. I love helping others live better. I love getting up and seizing the day. I absolu
