Country Heat LIVE Coming to UK Health & Wellness January 2017

It's official...starting Tuesday January 3 I'll be leading Country Heat LIVE through UK Health & Wellness MoveWell program!!! I wanted to teach a class at UK in the fall, but space wasn't available.  So I taught at Lexington Dance Factory and got experience leading classes with a small group. Now I'm ready to expand to a larger group and hope we can fill the gym during the lunch hour!!   This class is an awesome mix of cardio, dance, strength and core. It really is a lot of fun to do in a group setting and you don't have to be a great dancer to do the moves.  REALLY...if you can walk, you can do this workout....but it won't feel like a workout when you are doing it because you will be smiling AND singing along to the music!! Check out a preview of what a Country Heat LIVE class looks like below.... UK friends...This class does require that you are a MoveWell member.  You can become a member on the from the UK LiveWell Dashboard . The cost ...

Banana Apple Muffins

Yesterday, my daughter asked me for these muffins. I was already craving them myself and wanted to have something I could make at night and have for breakfast throughout the week for my girls.  The muffins are healthy and taste almost as good as the banana bread my grandmother used to make....almost.  There is no sugar in the muffins.  Try this recipe and let me know what you and your family think!! Autumn's Banana Apple Muffins 2 large eggs, lightly beaten 1 cup mashed ripe banana (about 2 medium bananas) 1 Tbsp Organic grass-fed butter, melted 1 1/2 cups almond flour 3/4 tsp baking soda, gluten-free 1 dash sea salt (or Himalayan salt) 1/2 cup chopped apple (about 3/4 medium apple)  Preheat oven to 350 degree F Prepare nine muffin cups by lining with muffin tin liners or coating with spray. Combine eggs, banana, and butter in a medium bowl; mix well. Set aside. Combine almond flowr, baking osda, and salt in a medium bowl; mix well. Add almond meal mi...

Mission Maintain Challenge Success

My Tuesday Transformation doesn't show a lot of change, but that was the goal!!! I started CORE DE FORCE 3 weeks ago with the goal to maintain my weight and inches through the Thanksgiving holiday and these pictures show I achieved my goal!! I worked out 19 of 21 days....and those 2 days I didn't workout were good rest days!! Some days I had to cut the workout short because of time restraints but I stuck with my meal plan. Other days I did double workouts since I taught Country Heat LIVE and on those days I ate an extra veggie and fruit container. I haven't been perfect following the meal plan and I DID have several cheats planned and unplanned. I enjoyed pumpkin pie, wine, beer, stuffing, pizza, diet soda and other treats, but all in a moderation!! I created a weekly meal plan to ensure I ate healthy around the cheats!! I'm in my last 7 days of Core de Force and have enjoyed the kickboxing workouts MUCH more than I ever thought!! My kicks have gotten h...

Core De Force Meal Plan & Week 3 Update

Core De Force Week 3 Meal Plan is created because…. “Failing to plan is like planning to fail” When I first heard that phrase I thought it was crazy…seriously…. who plans out there food every week?  I didn’t think I had time for that and couldn’t imagine actually eats what I planned out?  That was my thinking just over 2 years ago yet I quickly realized that there was truth to meal planning and that I needed to embrace it.   Do I always eat exactly what is on the meal plan??  NOT ALWAYS!  But at least I have a plan, I have healthy food in the house and I am empowered and set up for success.  So yesterday was my planning day.  I sat with my program nutrition guide, my meal plan template spreadsheet and my AnyList app to create a grocery list so that I can get my game plan together for the 3rd week of this workout program and of course the Thanksgiving holiday. Update from last week:   For starters I am finally caught up with lau...

Weekend Retreat to the Smokey Mountains

Last weekend we had an amazing adult weekend relaxing in a cabin in Tennessee.  It was a little stressful getting there as the GPS switched the address after I entered the cabin address...AND I tried to take a "short cut" to "go around the traffic." We had a great tour of the country and finally arrived at the cabin before dark.  I was happy to get them and ready for a glass of wine!! For dinner the guys grilled burgers and we had 5 bean salad and sweet potato chips.  Then we played a game of Guesstures...boys vs girls and had tons of laughs and giggles.  We've played this game for years and it is always a blast.  It's a version of charades but with the timer, you have to get your teammates to guess the words before the card goes down and so there is a little extra stress added! After our game, Matt and I went to the hot tub to relax and talk.  It's a great way to engage without devices and have a REAL conversation.  Then we headed to bed around ...

Be Extordinary...Choose to Learn, Grow & Be Better Everyday

This month I kicked off a Miracle Morning support group.  It's an accountability group in a private Facebook group of women that have been part of my fitness challenge groups for at least a few months. These women have committed to their health and fitness and want to become better everyday! We each picked a workout program and are committed to starting and finishing it...even through the holidays.  I chose the new Beachbody workout program Core de Force.  I will start Day 1 of the program on Monday...so this week I have been previewing Core de Force, but also doing some of my favorites in 21 Day Fix and Country Heat!! I'm excited about the new program...so far I can tell it's going to be tough, but that's exactly what I need during this holiday season...and in order to learn, grow and be better everyday. I could have done 21 Day Fix again...which I started 2 years ago, but my results would be limited.  I already know the program and my body has already done the ...

Core de Force Launch & Exculsive Test Group

There’s a brand new Beachbody home fitness program that will launched on Monday, October 31!   The best part about the program is that the only equipment you need is YOU!   Core De Force is a 30 day total body transformation, MMA inspired program which includes 3 minute “rounds” that include boxing, kickboxing and Muay Thai, knee-elbow combinations, bodyweight training and cardio spikes. The moves will help you lose belly fat and tone your body.   You’ll be so focused on hitting it hard for 3 minutes at a time that the workout will be over before you know it.  When I did the Core De Force sneak peeks… my heart rate was up and I was sweating within minutes of starting.  The next day I couldn’t believe the soreness I felt all over…the workout REALLY works your entire core to get your midsection defined, which most of us woman want…right?!?! So how do you get started and join my exclusive 30 day test group? Check out all the details below… What...
