Grab your spot now...I already have mine... We are still weeks from the launch, but VIP early access is available now and I am SOOO excited that I got the official email that I've been approved for the exclusive test group that Shaun T, the program's creator and trainer, will be leading!!! It's a private facebook group where he will go LIVE weekly to give nutrition tips and fitness advice.  He will also post information related to the program and life in general.  Plus Beachbody will provide information throughout the 6-week challenge to help keep the group active and engaged for added support and accountability!! What's even better is I have several friends that have already joined the group AND I can get access for 20 of my friends to the exclusive test group too!! Isn't that exciting?!?!  If you want to do it with me, but don't have an account yet, you can make me your FREE coach by creating a free account . So what is this program that I'm so ex

Holiday hustle...rehearsal, dinner and a show

For the past several years, our kids have been involved with holiday performances.  This will be Courtney's fourth year in the Lexington Dance Factory's Nutcracker production.  She will be in the Lollipop and Chinese dances.  Caroline will make her debut as a Mini Mouse. Courtney will perform on Friday, December 7 for her classmates and other kids that come to the performance for a field trip.  Both girls will be in the 1pm performance on Saturday, December 15 at Transylvania University. Then Courtney will also perform in the 6pm performance on Saturday, December 15 at Transylvania University. Tickets are still available at  https://25654.danceticketing.com/r/?tid=269&sid=0&message&fbclid=IwAR188jP4lOPQ3kdSSc3vp8N7xphiN095IWSjKi1qLpsphaXRndef8VVaa_E. I highly recommend sitting in the balcony!  It's a great view. After rehearsals, we headed to Pies and Pints to meet our friends for dinner before watching a long-time favorite, A Charlie Brown Christm

Year End Resolution Starts with a Mindset Switch

A few years ago, I flipped my thoughts from "if only" to "only if."  Rather than thinking, "If only I could get to the gym," I  decided to switch to "Only if I bring the gym to me." I stopped feeling frustrated for myself by thinking "if only I had more time." and instead decided "only if I get up earlier will I have time."  Imagine when you stop and look at things from a different angle...what would you accomplish?!? Decide today to get ahead of the curve and rather than thinking "if only in 2019..." instead switch to "only if I start now will I be closer to where I want in 2019."  I am excited to tell you:  Now is the time!! There is a nifty little platform with several programs to choose from and an online group.  But if you aren't ready to make this part of your health and fitness now, that's totally cool.  These programs aren't for everyone.  But if you wa

Thanksgiving Traditions

We had an amazing holiday week full of our annual traditions: Family photo and the girls got new pajamas from Grammie!  I continued my morning workouts in the basement.  This "me time" not only includes exercise, but quiet time before the girls wake up and reflecting on our many blessings by writing gratitude statements. We've made bowling with the cousins annual outing! The girls have fun improving their bowling skills, playing in the arcade and having a few treats like funnel sticks!!   We bought "deal of the day" gift certificates earlier in the year which gave us $50 of bowling bucks but only paid $15 for them!  Grammie and Grampy always have some fun gifts for the girls that they wrap in tissue paper and we hide outside (weather permitting) for a scavenger hunt.  Each girl has a different color tissue paper to search for her specific gifts.  Gingerbread house decorating has been an annual tradition since Matt was a kid.  It continued wh

Almond Joy candy vs. wonder whip

As Halloween approaches, candy options are more and more tempting.  Ok, maybe candy is tempting all year around!!  You want to think those little pieces of chocolate won't affect your weight goals, but they can.  Especially when it's hard to just eat one or two.  Personally, I would much rather have several bites of dessert than just one, so these wonder whip solutions are an amazing alternative to a few pieces of candy!! They are much more filling and satisfying!!  Whip up a bowl today and give your sweet tooth what it wants!!   Thanks to Ilana Muhlstein for sharing this recipe and her registered dietitian knowledge through the 2B Mindset Nutrition program and certified mentorship training!  B oth the Almond Joy candy and wonder whip have 235 calories, but you get a WHOLE cup with the whip rather than just two bites!!  Ingredients:  1 Cup 0-2% Plain Greek Yogurt 1 TBSP unsweetened Shredded Coconut 1 TBSP Cocoa Nibs 2 tsp. cocoa powder

A new pumpkin spice to welcome the season

We are not ready for the pool to close and choose Halloween costumes, but the time has come. We had an amazing summer and now it's time for the season to change and embrace what's next.  Of course, there are several things to look forward to in the fall. I love sports and the events around them. My husband, two girls and I have been cheering on the Red Sox all summer and are excited for the playoffs and World Series.  Each Saturday, 6-year-old soccer takes over our morning and college football takes over the afternoon. Tailgating with friends for home games and gatherings at someone's house if the game is away. Keeneland horse racing is a highlight in October and this year opening day is on my birthday!! We have several fall festivals on the calendar and then before we know it, Thanksgiving and Christmas will arrive.  But first things first, let's talk about my favorite fall flavor, pumpkin spice.  For a limited time only, starting Monday September 17 in the U.S.

Lift, HIIT, Rest, Eat and Repeat

This summer there are several ways we can enjoy family and friends but still move toward our health can fitness goals.  Thanks to these amazing trainers and my online accountability groups, you can lose weight and/or tone even while having your favorite foods and drinks.  How am I so sure that you can get results from June-August and still enjoy pool time, picnics and reunions? Because I lost 15 pounds during the summer of 2014 and maintained my results these last four years by sharing what I learned with others.   I've completed every new Beachbody workout that has launched in the last four years and can help you start with one you'll enjoy based on your fitness level and goals.  Plus I'm looking for 10 people to try the newest workout that launches June 11.  This new program will allow you to get strong and lean in just 4 days a week.  That's right, you workout only 4 of 7 days so you have more time to do the things you love...whether it's run, swim, rest
